Color and Finishing Techniques
Color makes stamped concrete come alive. We use two main techniques to add color:
Integral Color
This is mixed into the concrete before we pour it, giving you color throughout the entire slab. If the surface gets scratched or worn, the color remains. Integral color works great for earth tones and creates a consistent base.
Color Hardener and Release Agent
We broadcast colored powder onto the wet concrete surface, then stamp it. A release agent in a contrasting color prevents the stamps from sticking and creates realistic color variation. This technique gives you the most authentic look, with natural highlights and lowlights like real stone.
After stamping and coloring, we apply a sealer that protects the surface and enhances the colors. The sealer also makes your decorative concrete patio or driveway easier to clean and maintain.
